all innocence lost (return to the memory's afterglow)
they say that all innocence was lost in that garden
well my innocence was lost that night
we ran like rivers flowing to the ends of the earth
alone and uninhibited in a terrestrial paradise
contented not by bliss nor of sin
as I kissed her once
and felt her warm breath
in a gentle embrace
I ran a tender hand over her tingling body
each finger brushing lightly on her skin
like a feather floating down from heaven
did I see her slight blush
did she know my intentions
she looked like fire that night
like a Serruria bride
who's waited for this all of her life
I felt her lips part in an endless echo
as she ran a teasing tongue over aroused flesh
and she pulled away
only long enough to take a deep even breath
that I feel in her stomach and chest
before she returns slowly to the moment
opening up her body
like a flower opening its petals to the warm sun
I lowered her gently into the garden's grassy bed
still damp from the dense morning dew
there's desire on her face
and all it takes is a playful caress
and I gave myself to her that night
felt the earth move back and forth
in a seemingly infinite series of waves
in subtle submission
they say that all innocence was lost in that garden
well my innocence was lost that night
and it will live on forever in the memory's afterglow
