Show no partiality,
Of the faith that you do hold;
Glory for the Deity,
Respecting what you are told.
If a man with fine clothing,
Comes to worship into church;
Who is wearing a gold ring,
Do you help him with his search.
A poor man looking ratty,
Also comes in to attend;
Appearance such a pity,
Told to sit in the back end.
Are you not being partial,
Judging with an evil thought;
Thinking of one more special,
The same thing of what two sought.
For God chose those who are poor,
Having a faith of much wealth;
Promised to open the door,
Because of spiritual health.
But you have despised the poor.
And the rich you do not oppress;
For the prestige you adore,
As the poor you will depress.
Who blasphemes the worthy name,
By which you are being called;
The Scripture that does proclaim,
That the Father is appalled.
As yourself love your neighbor,
Be impartial in respect;
For if you would show favor,
It is sin that you reject.
Whosoever keeps the Law,
But failing to keep one part;
Becomes guilty to it all,
Is corrupted in the heart.
