The Backyard Of My Life

Money Is Garbage

Money is garbage we use to buy stupid things we don't want nor need
Its the profits of transactions murder and greed
Its production and consumption of worthless goods
it perpetuates the cancer growing on this earth
But there are mayors in mansions who still like to swim in it
Business men and bankers who like to
Make a bed of money lay down and make snow angels in it
So they can swap the sky and the trees for a big stack of coins
Light up a cigar with a £50 note
Drink expensive champagne wearing diamonds and gold chains
Dressed in the latest designer fashions
So they can keep someone else in slavery
Someone else in total darkness
While they jump into a swimming pool with a big white roles Royce
Never asking what it dose to there soul
There are sill those who would milk it till the cows come home
Get every last drop from the cup
Till every river is run dry
Still those who would waste a star so there name was up in lights
While the dogs sit on the lawn
There are still those who would sell you there own grandmother
To worship there god of economic growth
Offer you 20% off a piece of the moon
Buy one get one free big fat profit margins
No matter how much they have its never enough
They want they need more more more
Money is suicide notes from a dead world
Where the people who lived there didn't think things through
If you don't respect nature maybe one day nature wont respect you
