A salvation prayer, known by many Christians as a 'Sinners Prayer,' is a prayer one would say to repent from sin, ask God for forgiveness, confess belief in Jesus Christ, and accept him as Lord and Savior. Saying a salvation prayer is the first step in your personal relationship with God.
If you believe the Bible offers truth about the way of salvation, but you have not taken the step to become a Christian, it's as simple as praying this prayer. You can pray by yourself, using your own words. There is no special formula. Just pray from your heart to God, and he will save you. If you feel lost and don't know what to pray, here's a salvation prayer that you can follow:
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that don't please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me.
I believe that You died on the cross for me to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to You now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to You. From this day forward, help me to live every day for You and in a way that pleases You.

You have received Christ as your Savior and have made the best decision you will ever make—one that will change your life forever!
Putting together a toy or a piece of furniture rarely goes as smoothly as expected. This is especially true if we don't read the instructions. Perhaps they're too long or difficult to understand, so we ignore them. Then we wonder why the project doesn't turn out right.
This is how many believers live the Christian life. They try to figure it out without referring to God's Word. The Bible is too long, they think, and it would take years to gain a basic understanding of the contents; there just isn't enough time to read it. Furthermore, it strikes them as complicated and difficult to understand.
But ignoring the Word of God is dangerous. When we stop reading Scripture and applying its principles, we don't just stand still; we actually start drifting away from God. Peter tells us to long for the Word so we may grow in respect to our salvation (1 Pet. 2:2). And don't forget, the indwelling Holy Spirit will bring understanding.
If your desire is to glorify God and overcome worries, fears, and sin, then Scripture must be your priority. Reading, studying, and applying the Word may require sacrifices, but the reward of knowing your Savior better and living a life pleasing to God is worth it.
There is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call upon to save them.

Salvation is an act of God. It is initiated by God, wrought by God, and sustained by God. The faith that saves the soul is described as faith in Christ as the Son of God—not as a good man or a great man, but as the uniquely begotten Son of the living God!
This is consistent with the witness of the entire New Testament and with the proclamations of the first preachers of the Gospel. All proclaim the necessity of faith in Jesus Christ as deity.

When do you find yourself feeling pressured to believe fear is greater than love? How might your relationships with others change if you believed you don't need to be afraid?
Loving God, thank You for Your Love. Help us to trust in and follow Your Light and Love even when the way gets dark.

Give me the same compassion for those who have not accepted Your remedy and been BORN AGAIN.
