The Spirit helps when we are weak,
Never knowing what we should pray;
Intercedes for us as we seek,
Groanings of deep words to say.
He who searches in our heart,
Knowing what is in our mind;
His Spirit intercedes to thwart,
The path of darkness it may find.
For in accordance with His will,
Knowing that for those who love God;
All work together to instill,
Of reason to honor and laud.
For those of whom He did foreknow,
He predestined to be conformed;
Reflecting of His Son to show,
In helping us to be transformed.
Those of whom that He did predestine,
Those whom He called has justified;
That He called upon for certain,
Are guiltless to be glorified.
