Written by Stella C Mitchell

21st October 2021

To carry our cross here below - is
To wear our crown above - but - the
Suffering that we have to bear - comes
From God's sacrificial love .

And His love will not allow - more
Than our hearts can bear - but -
In the carrying our cross each day
Is formed a treasure rare .

As of the brightest pearl - to crown
A mighty king - it first must know the
Piercing  of a  grain  of  sand - to be
Transformed - into such a beauteous
Thing .

O how often we would rather run along
A golden beach - under a clear blue sky
Than suffer with our fellow man - in war
Or heartache - and the many tears - we
Have to cry .

And yet - we have a Comforter in Jesus
Who knows our sorrows - and our pain -
And He willingly laid down His life for our
Transgressions - to give us Eternal gain .

And He is with us in the valleys - and He
Tells us not to fear - but to walk in faith -
With courage and endurance - lifting high
The cross of Victory - as we persevere.

For - Jesus told us - in this world we will
Have  troubles -  but He has  fought  and
Overcome - every battle that will face us
As  we  journey  onwards  -  towards our
Everlasting Home .

So - be  encouraged  now - my brothers
And my sisters - for we too can stand as
Overcomers - and be strong and face our
Foe -  knowing - in  the  mighty  name of
Jesus - He has promised - He will safely
Bring us through .

Whatever you are going through my friends
remember that the LORD is with you .. and
He will help you through .. if you trust in Him
and call on His name in your time of need..

God bless you all with His love and peace .

Now and always .
