In You, O Lord, I put my trust,
In You, O Lord, I take refuge;
Knowing You are faithful and just,
Shielding me from lustful deluge.
In Your righteousness rescue me,
Never let me be put to shame;
Because I follow Your decree,
And continue to praise Your name.
Incline Your ear and rescue me,
Be a rock and a strong fortress;
Dispel my enemies to flee,
Because they have caused me much stress.
You are my fortress and my rock,
For Your sake lead being my guide;
Watching my feet where I may walk,
Keep me humbled away from pride.
You have pulled me out of the net,
That they had hidden to trap me;
You give confidence not to fret,
On the danger I cannot see.
Onto You I place my spirit,
Because You gave me redemption;
For You have seen all my merit,
Already knows my intention.
I hate those having vanities,
Conceited idolizing lust;
Speaking with such profanities,
In You, they are not holding trust.
I will rejoice and always glad,
Being glad in Your steadfast love;
Afflictions do not make me sad,
For the healing comes from above.
You know the distress of my soul,
And considered all my trouble;
I allow You to take control,
Rescuing me from the rubble.
You guard me from my enemy,
Setting my feet in a broad place;
Where I can be in harmony,
While feeling Your sweet embrace.
