To know that
a flickering flame
is fighting the storm
and defying inevitable
by hanging on there
is the most bravest
thing to do.
All the credit goes
to all the people
in similar situation
where the thin thread of life
they are hanging on to
could break any time.
So hard even to contemplate
the pain in the heart
of the loved ones.
Sometimes even harder to see
loved one in pain and despair
than to be in pain yourself.
For us, it's sheer helplessness
where prayers are the only way
to help the slender flame
in the storm, asking God
to guard it with his hands.
