Dress to Kill

I'm feeling good today; dressed to the nines
Sharp as a tack; heart, soul, and mind
Wrapped in Colossians; beginning in verse 12
I got 13, 14, and 15 as well
Verse 16 is my under armor, 17 my shoes
I'm dressed the kill on any path I choose
On the freeway, frustration is reaching out
The radio news advertising new doubts
Work place nonsense stirring up offense
And family drama rises up like a chain link fence
But my divine stitching is arrow proof
Heavenly fabric so lite I can float through the roof
High above the pawns of the enemy
Killing them with kindness and humility
While gentleness, compassion, and patience I give
Forbearing and forgiving; I love and let live
The peace of God rules my day
And the light of his word lights my way
Wisdom says to me “sing psalms and hymns
And through spiritual songs, drop grace on them
And whatever I do in word or deed
I do all to the one who meets all my needs
The birds don't worry so why should I
Even the flowers dance as the storm rages by
do they know something that I don't know?
Not today, Satan; you got to go
I'm dressed to kill all the noise
And conduct myself praise and poise
Not always easy but I believe I can
I don't much but I know who I am
Reminded of the day I gave Christ my heart
And from now on I'm going to dress the part
