Mankind's Survival

I know what I want

but what do I need?

I desire too much?

Is all of this greed?

I would like a big house..

but could live in one room

I would love an Aston Martin

but would I get there too soon?

My own orchard would be amazing

but it’s not a big deal

a lake on the back lawn…

with a colony of seals.

My very own runway

housing my plane

a mansion to live in

bearing my name.

These things would be amazing

but it’s nothing I need

it’s all about want

it’s all about greed.

There is so much on offer

tempting our souls

destroying what goodness

once made us whole.

Our desire for possessions

has corrupted our minds

we have lost our morality

left stumbling blind.

If there is a Messiah

we all need him now

mankind surviving…?

I just don’t know how???
