Emotional tweaks

Gimme some of that heat the kind that activates the feet,

I want somethin’ happy-tappy like a boogie woogie beat,

Gimme some of that rhythm drop a needle in the groove,

Send it rockin’ through my body til it saturates my shoes,

I gotta have it, I gotta grab it, like I did that night when I

Fell in love with you, singin’,

Rip-rap, jump back. think I’ve blown my thermostat,

Rip-rap, tip-tap, tell me when you’re comin’ back...

And on a quieter note;

Tuned to a tempo, prone to a beat,

Musical memories, emotional tweaks,

The past ever trapped by the bars of a song,

Released by the heart turning silver to blonde.

Silver to blonde, silver to black, silver to

Auburn all colours in fact, she’s there in

The music, and so too is he, somewhat

Hidden by time, ‘til a song sets them free.

Such is the body, and such is the heart,

Both are possessed of their own tuning fork,

A classical twist, or a jazz overtone,

Each extra special, each one to their own.

On swift wings of passion true love will fly,

Be prepared for the tears that may follow behind,

Love is the tempo, our heartstrings the proof,

Music the ploughshare that cuts to the truth.
