Jesus Christ Is Our Peace
There is freedom in Jesus
He speaks in many different ways
And I can tell You,
He speaks through His Word
God amazes me; He's so good
I could be listening to His Word
Or I could be reading His Word
And something will pop out at me
I stop what I'm doing
I give it my full attention
I know God can speak through others
I have experienced this myself
Oh, just how I am amazed by it
Sometimes, I stand there in awe
I know that God can speak audibly
Samuel is a great example
I know God can speak audibly
For I have experienced this myself
However, at the time, I had no idea
It scared me as I didn't understand
God can speak into Your mind
A thought can go across your mind
I have also experienced this
I would be asleep and hear a thought
It's not even my own thought
In His presence, there is freedom
There is a wonderful peace with God
It's hard to explain and describe
It's so wonderful and it's from God
I wish I could explain it to you
I have experienced this type of peace
I remember it was at the end of my darkest time
As I was walking home, which took over two hours
I felt this perfect peace come right over me
Oh how I knew God was with me on my way home
It felt as if everything that was on my shoulders lifted
It was so tranquil, so wonderful and calming
It felt so good and it came at the right time
I was in need of peace and I felt so free for the first time
It had been a long, dark, and no peaceful road
I know God was letting me know that I did the right thing
I knew through the darkest time, God was right there with me
He protected me, and He made me strong when I was weak
I am so thankful to my God and Savior, Jesus Christ
He's done so much for me; I can never repay Him
With Lord Jesus, You can find peace
And You can find freedom in His presence
He's the way, the truth, and the life
Lord Jesus is our cornerstone
And He is our foundation
I will praise God for who He is
And I will worship Him always
He's been so good to me
And I haven't been thankful enough
Praise and worship will fall from my lips
