Trauma -Part 2

Leaders in splendid isolatrion
Barely seem to pause for breath
Before they sign those orders
Committing thousands unto death.

When they left Afghanistan
With seeming undue haste
How many veterans thought
Their effort had been to waste
How many Pretty Pollys
Couldn't stand life's stress
Committing suicide rather than
Endure Traumatic Distress.
How many Johnnys
Now sit in despair
Restricted to the confines
Of an electric wheelchair
For nearly twenty years
They occupied Afghansitan
Seemingly handing it back
With little thought or plan.
When you occupy a country
It isn't good enough
Just to withdraw
When the going gets tough.

Leaders in splendid isolatrion
Barely seem to pause for breath
Before they sign those orders
Committing thousands unto death.
