My Poetry
Lord Jesus, I Am Thankful For:
Lord Jesus, I thank You for my pastor
And I thank You for always being there
I thank You for the life You've given me
Thank You, Lord for Your Word
Thank You, Lord, for loving me
When I thought that I couldn't be loved
Thank You for being there
When I was lonely and scared
Thank You, Lord, for comforting me
When my heart was shattered in a million pieces
Thank You, Lord, for guiding me along the way
When I was lost and couldn't find my way back
Thank You, Lord, for my family
Even though we have had rough times
We are still together and loving one another
I miss my grandmother who's been gone for years
Lord, You've helped me no matter what was going on
When everyone walked out on me, You stayed with me
When I was scared and alone with no hope at all
You were there, comforted me, and became my hope
When I would walk to every place that I needed to go
You protected me and sent people to help me that I didn't know
When I had no peace in my life and You'd listen to my cries
You gave me peace, and You were there listening to what I had to say
When Christmas came that one year, and I was all alone on that day
You were there listening to me talk; I must have talked Your ear off
Again, You listened to me on what I had to say and You were loving me
When I didn't deserve Your forgiveness, You forgave me when I repented
When I didn't deserve Your love
You were there loving me no matter what
I was a mess and I had made my life a mess
You came in and cleaned my life and me up
When I wanted to take my own life
You were there to tell me not do that
That You had something better for me
Thank You, I felt that was what You were telling me
I never went through with it
For I didn't want to die
For You gave me a reason to live
And that reason is You; Thank You God
And I thank You for always being there
