Adieu Mom
The sunshine heralds the signs of morn
Whose colorful light the sky to adorn
But that beauty had no more effect on me
As something weighed inside so heavily.
When I heard the news that you have passed
That final chapter was finished at last
You book of life with so many pages
So filled with fond memories lasting for ages.
I often admired you skill at making a dress
How we as children were so impress
Because you ensured you did the very best
And you checked those fashion books as a test
My days as a toddler I quietly absorbed many a session
As you assisted my brother with their school lessons
Ares, volumes of those various geometric figures
Those to me later in life were blessed treasures
Those moments too that were so thought provoking
Working many hours with you in the kitchen garden
Those hands seem to have powers so magical
That no matter what you planted the crop was bountiful
That year when dad was ill
Those many months were such a bitter pill
But you with planning skill, i cannot forget
You were able to bring that light to the family budget
But as always time has taken it told
And there was those signs of you getting old
On hearing you talk often about your passed generation
That told me that your departure was on the horizon
So mom i bid you a very fond farewell
In my memory you shall always dwell
I shed plenty tears of sorrow at your departure
There too were some of joy know you are in the arms of the saviour
