Listen who pursue righteousness, For you must be seeking the Lord; Get rid of your audaciousness, While being in one accord. Look to the rock which you were hewn, The quarry from which you were dug; The Lord will be returning soon, For embracing you with His hug. Look to your mother who bore you, And your father who gave advice; Both of them were faithful and true, Everything they did sacrifice. For the Lord does comfort Zion, He comforts all her waste places; As the lamb lies with the lion, The hope what the future faces. The wilderness like a garden, Joy and gladness that will be found; Her desert be made like Eden, As thanksgiving songs that will sound. Give your attention with your ear, His nation for Law will go out; Remembering the Lord is near, Giving the hope to shed your doubt. For your righteousness drawing near, As your salvation has gone out; While spiritually sincere, That you are remaining devout. Lift up your eyes unto Heaven, And look upon the earth below; Everything the Lord has given, Remembering the Lord does show. For Heaven will vanish like smoke, Earth will wear out like a garment; Events happen as the Lord spoke, Purging the immoral varmint. Copyright © 2021 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
