It was not to angels that God, Subjected the world to arrive; Rather for His Son for to laud, Giving salvation to survive. For of which that we are speaking, It has been testified somewhere; Be mindful who we are seeking, The Son of man for us to share. What is man that you care for him? If made lower than the angels; The Son of God is never grim, Saving the Jews and Gentiles. Crowned with both glory and honor, Sets over the works of His hands; Encourage you as a fawner, And obeying of His commands. Put everything under His feet, Unto Him to be subjective; Knowing that someday we will meet, On Judgment Day in respective. Nothing left outside His control, Although we do not see Him yet; We relinquish of our soul, Confessing all that we regret. But we see Him in a while, Lower than angels He was made; Suffered for Jew and Gentile, For who have honored and obeyed. God should taste death for every man, That the Father has shed His grace; That is was a part of His plan, For giving us His sweet embrace. For whom are and are by all things, As the captain of salvation; Many sons to glory it brings, Offered as a new creation. Copyright © 2021 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
