To be selfish is natural as
we need to survive and
self-preservation rules.
To be unselfish is a virtue
and we try to be unselfish
until selfishness takes over.
We become self-centred
and forget about feelings
of others in selfishness.
We say or do things that
seems to be so innocent
and still it hurts others.
Our likes and dislikes,
love and hate or even
our wishes and desires;
there is no end to the list
of the things that can
make us selfish regardless
of our aim to be unselfish.
Sometimes we are selfish
and we don't realise that
what we are doing is selfish,
without consideration for
the feelings of others.
To be selfish or unselfish
is not in our hands.
Despite some unselfish
acts our main instinct
is to be selfish and preserve
what we call "MINE" and
follow the universal rule
of self-preservation.
