My Poetry

A Light Has Come

A babe wrapped in swaddling clothes
Our Lord Jesus was laid in a manger
The light of the world has come to save us
Our Saviour has come to bring us hope

Our Saviour brought to us salvation
He brought with Him eternal life
And they called His name Emmanuel
Which means, “God with us”

God manifested Himself in flesh
He came to earth by a virgin birth
The light of the world was born
And our hope for salvation has come

The King of heaven and earth
Was wrapped in swaddling clothes
And He was laid in a manger
He is Christ our Lord

Let's all praise and worship Him
And let every knee bow, Lord
Let every tongue confess
That Christ Jesus is Lord

Let's give Him the highest praise
The praise of “Hallelujah”
For He is our light and salvation
He is our hope and our King

Let's all humble ourselves before Him
Christ Jesus was born in Bethlehem
On a silent night and holy night
Praise be to our Lord and Saviour for ever
