So there's no way I'd employ

Travelling with the hoi poloi
It was after all just an exercise
Just a publicity game
And most of the other leaders
Travelled just the same.
Historic pollution producers
Those of the greatest wealth
Tried to impose their restrictions
On developing nations economic health
Once the bean feasts were over
All the celebratory banquets done
All the treaties sealed and signed
The world just simply carried on.
We boarded our private planes
And all jetted away from here
With plans having been made
To meet again same time next year.
As the ice continues melting
Tidal surges wipe costal areas out
And parts of equatorial Africa
Struggle under enduring drought
The temperature continues rising
Weather gets even more extreme
And the worlds so called leaders
Plot and plan and scheme
To maintain the status quo
Using every stratagem and device
To make sure the poorer nations
Pay most of the world's warming price
