A Faerie Wish
Across the moon a faerie flies,
A trail of stars she leaves behind,
A girl, a quest, a job to do,
A faerie wish she brings to you.
With all goodwill and joy of life,
She brings my love to you tonight,
To keep you safe and free from harm,
A kiss, a wish, a Christmas charm.
Through clouds of acrid smoke she flies,
O’er factory, town and countryside,
Please leave a window open wide,
She should be there by twelve tonight.
