My Testimony
I was headed down a dark road
Couldn't see where I was going
It felt like I wouldn't find my way
I didn't know where I was heading
I was feeling hopelessness and despair
I knew I was searching for something
I didn't know exactly what that was
Until someone lead me to the Lord
God changed my situation; I could see
I turned around and headed towards Him
A light and hope had come; I wasn't alone
God never left or forsaken me
The hopelessness turned into hope
My Savior had come to rescue me
A light had come to light my path
And when He came; I found my faith
My God rescued me from abuse
He saved me from my ex-boyfriend
Wherever I was, He was there protecting me
My God walked in when everyone walked out
When it came to being alone; I had God
I was alone and scared; God was right there
All I had to do was to call upon His name
And His name is Jesus; praise be to God
My faith was stronger than it had ever been
Before that, I knew God existed; that's it
My friend invited me to her church
I went and loved it; I was baptized
Even through every trial; God was there
When things go south; God turned it in my favor
My life has never been the same; Glory to God
I am thankful and grateful to my Lord, my God
