I listen to the sound of the seconds ticking away
New Year will be here soon and a better one I pray,
One thing after another has followed me all year
So I want the last twelve months to just disappear.
I`ll wish for happier times for my family and friends
So at the stroke of midnight all the heartache ends,
It has to be brighter and a much happier year I pray
So things must start to go right without delay.
I know this timeline is really only the next day
But we step into the future in a traditional way,
I`m saying goodbye to heartache, stress and pain
And I`d never want to visit this year ever again.
