The mature imparts wisdom,
Not a wisdom of this age;
But the heavenly kingdom,
Bringing us to a new stage.
For the rulers of this world,
Who are doomed to pass away;
Sees not what God has unfurled,
Since this place led them astray.
But we impart a secret,
Hidden wisdom of the Lord;
In which those rulers regret,
Of the glory they ignored.
None of the rulers from here,
They would not have crucified;
Having understood no fear,
The Lord of glory denied.
For what no eye ever seen,
Nor any ear ever heard;
What is now or ever been,
That was written in the Word.
Neither entered in the heart,
About what God has prepared;
For the love that we impart,
We constantly have impaired.
I resolve to know nothing,
Except about Jesus Christ;
Crucified for us to bring,
Rebirth is not sacrificed.
