footprints in the earth.....

Gethsemane

As the saviour I am drained
Stupendous Suspense suspends spirit
Declining Belief
Doomsday Doubt
Father Above
I cannot cage my heart
Calvary seems A candid curse
Innocence deserves no sorry lot
Why should saintliness be saddled with sin
Just as worries make us wail
We look to Christ and his example
To make us triumph in all our troubles
Perplexed our passions are like peril
Warring flesh, weeping riddle
Broken,Bitter,Burdened,Bent
Drops of blood, raining sweat
Confessing Carnal Convenience
In this garden of consternation
We submit to Jesus for salvation
Sins bring sickness
Holiness has hope
Yet persecution precedes redemption
Heavenly solace is sure to be
When we kneel at Gethsemane
