 ramblings and things

Slipping Away.

I came into this world quietly,
I hope to leave in the same way
But I shall rail against injustice
My every single surviving day.
I appreciate my actions may upset
That rather large growing band
That thinks thing don't happen if
They stick their heads in the sand.
There may be poor and sick
Who are finding life so hard
But it really doesn't exist
If it's not in their back yard.
There may be a leadership
Of the affluent and the elite
Who find no contradiction in
That they steal, lie and cheat.
They can go worship on Sunday
If it's forgiveness they seek,
That keeps them shriven until
The same time next week.
Me , I'll keep on campaigning
Until my very end
Accept I see things differently
From some of my friends.
Just wish me luck and success
Fighting for what I see as right
Until peacefully and quietly I
Hopefully slip away in the night.
