Hear my prayer, O Lord,
I plea for mercy;
Not to be ignored,
Answer Your decree.
In Your righteousness,
Enter not judgement;
Showing faithfulness,
Cleanse me from ailment.
I poured my complaint,
Shewing my trouble;
Foes have no restraint,
To throw in rubble.
They have crushed my life,
Threw my in the dark;
Causing me much strife,
With scornful remark.
For my spirit faints,
My heart is appalled;
Since I use constraints,
For I am enthralled.
I remember days,
Think what You have done;
I ponder always,
Of what had begun.
I stretch out my hand,
Because my soul thirsts;
I have low demand,
But having outbursts.
For my spirit fails,
As You hide Your face;
And my heart bewails,
With feeling disgrace.
I await to hear,
Of Your steadfast love;
Because I revere,
As I trust thereof.
I lift up my soul,
As I fled to You;
Letting You control,
Helping me construe.
