Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

I am prepared for victory, should victory arrive

I will be ready to stand tall with pride

I don’t welcome adulation though I know it will come

with victory there is nowhere to hide.

All my transgressions, mistakes I have made

will shine out like never before

trolls will come feasting on what pigs won’t feed on

and yet some idiot in his bedroom will keep score.

Victory is always tainted by the noise of the few

unfortunately they shout louder than most…

they have a need to be heard knowing they have nothing to offer

and simply upsetting your day is their boast?

There will be those that welcome the path you have walked

wishing to learn from the experiences life gave

there will be others that claim that God was my salvation?

And I should thank him for every step that I made?

To those I would say that I am glad he is your Shephard

that your faith is all that you need

but I’ve never seen a hungry baby satisfied on faith

yet every day the Church cries out in need?

Victories will take many different forms

we have to recognise and welcome the win

though always paying heed to those set to destroy you

cause your victories are not always a win!?
