I took to the ends of the earth,
And called from the farthest corners;
I am the servant since my birth,
That God picked from the sojourners.
He chose me and not cast away,
Who is my Lord and will strengthen;
I will fear not and never stray,
As perseverance does lengthen.
He will uphold with righteousness,
All who are incensed oppose me;
Puts to shame with the recklessness,
Confounded with the agony.
Those who strive against me perish,
As they will seek those who contend;
Because of the dark they cherish,
For the purity does offend.
The Lord shall seek but will not find,
They war against but are nothing;
For the darkness distorts the mind,
Tormented and feeling the sting.
For the Lord is holding my hand,
Fear not for God will render aid;
Following what He does command,
And I will never be afraid.
