When the world stopped
Life didn’t
Never have I seen time go so slow
Yet so quickly at the same time
Sometimes I felt like a vampire
Immortal
Watching those I love age
Knowing that each passing season
The inevitable is approaching
And it frightens me, scares me
I used to be able find distractions
But when your freedom is surpassed
Distractions are flimsy at best
Like a summers breeze
Never had my mortality been so highlighted
Covid times have caused havoc with one’s mind
How will the future generation respond?
Like a Forrest of trees being watered on urine
What future deformities will appear?
No doubt I’ll be blessing my mortality
As I fade away and a new world carries on
Without me.
