Entitlement

Silent they came; or maybe not,
that I languished unaware
A melting pot, emerging lot
all young without a care

To march in grandeur up and in,
not beg entry through the gate
They wave right passed, up to the last,
as if it were their fate

Eyes cast down in awe I stand,
or maybe it's in shame
How could they, or even should they
Who, for this is to blame

So boldly and so brazen,
to expect the fight be won
To demand their share without a care
and never be outdone

Possessions are priority
Take for granted all they own
A clouded faze, a greedy haze
Entitlement all they've known
