How long will You forget me?
How long will You hide Your face?
O Lord, will You hear my plea,
I want to feel Your embrace.
How long must I take counsel,
Having sorrow in my heart;
All day and night in my soul,
My plea can never depart.
Consider and answer me,
As my foes are exalted;
Light up my eyes as to see,
Help me I am exhausted.
Lest I sleep the sleep of death,
Because my foes have prevailed;
I am shaken out of breath,
Because of my quest has failed.
I trust in Your steadfast love,
Rejoicing in salvation;
Because of mercy thereof,
Makes me a new creation.
I will sing unto the Lord,
Since You deal beautifully;
You are so loved and adored,
As blessings come abundantly.
