Someone unknown
I never wanted fame nor adulation
never needed to be in the light
I only ever wanted to find a way forward
without the arguments… the inevitable fight.
So I tried to hide in the shadows
on the outside… just looking in
I wanted no part of someone else's lifestyle
I was just waiting for mine to begin.
Fame will not bring me happiness
adulation will not fill me with pride
I only know that the talons of light
will force me to surrender and hide.
So I need not my name in the spotlight
my face is my face to own
I will never be part of what so many search for
I would much rather be someone unknown!
