A Surprise Ending

Lost in a world with too many beliefs.
Right and Wrong and all in between.
Defining one’s life and what it all means?
Looking at my past and never knowing me.

Searching out side of self hoping to get
answers, led down paths never wanted
to be seen. Wrong choices believing right.
Their endings cast shadows upon my light.

Tear-stained pillows and sleepless nights
Struggling with emotions confused by the
unnecessary plights, as if deserving of

betrayal, Was I in that much denial?

What will I say when I'm at the pearly gates?
When my life is shown in all its gory details.
In a place nowhere to run or hide. Only to
discover Gods love was with me the entire time.
