 ramblings and things

Unobserved

In the beginning the Universe
Was dark, but not empty,
Full of dark matter and
Tendrils of the Cosmic Web,
Spreading  out, and, where
Overlapping, birthing stars,
Blue, fast burning giants
Collapsing and imploding
To release the material to
Build a more static universe,
Birthing the God Stars,
Predecessors of stars of today
For the blink of an eye,
By space time standards
Sentient beings worshipped,
Observed, studied and speculated
Before slipping into extinction
As it expanded, galaxies crashing
And merging as they rush apart.
All matter being finite as slowly
But inevitably stars progress
Collapse. and die
Until darkness descends and
Maybe, the process will restart,
And, in time, unobserved
The Gods Stars will rule again
From dark matter
And tendrils of Cosmic Webb
In a new beginning
