His divine power granted us,
All the things that pertain to life;
Through the knowledge of Him as thus,
For the glory to cope with strife.
By which He granted to assure,
Promises as great and precious;
A divine nature that is pure,
Spiritually luxurious.
Corrupted sinful desires,
To escape from the worldly lust;
But faith douses any fires,
Virtue knowledge building your trust.
Trusting in God will bring self-control,
Steadfastness will give godliness;
Brotherly love will fill your soul,
As patience will give you kindness.
For if these things be within you,
Will give fruitful knowledge of Christ;
Because the Word of God is true,
Temptations no longer enticed.
Those who lack these is nearsighted,
Forgot in being purged from sin;
Temptations are reignited,
Blocking spiritual discipline.
Be more diligent to confirm,
Of your calling and election;
In doing things in the long term,
Never to fall from protection.
You will be richly provided,
An entrance into His Kingdom;
While you are being guided,
By our Lord and His wisdom.
