You whom the Lord selected,
Of the offspring and a friend;
Should never feel neglected,
He will be near to defend.
For from the ends of the earth,
Called from the farthest corners;
As His servant since your birth,
Being here as sojourners.
He did not cast you away,
For He is your Lord and God;
There is no fear to dismay,
He will strengthen as you laud.
He supports with His right hand,
In the shadow of His wings;
Soothing you with His command,
Feeling comfort that it brings.
Incense shall put you to shame,
Those who strive shall be nothing;
Perishing as they proclaim,
From their misguided fling.
You seek those who contend,
But you not be finding them;
Because the way they offend,
The Lord quickly will condemn.
Because the Lord is your God,
Fear not for He will help you;
He will show who is a fraud,
He is always just and true.
