When you come into the land,
That your Lord God is giving;
An inheritance to stand,
A residence for living.
You shall take some of the first,
Of all the fruit from the ground;
And the Lord will quench your thirst,
When praising a pleasant sound.
You shall go unto the priest,
And declare unto the Lord;
While preparing a feast,
Showing that He is adored,
The priest shall take your first fruit,
And set it on the altar;
Honoring to attribute,
Praising Him, not to falter.
Make response before the Lord,
When you came to the nation;
You transformed as one accord,
To be a new creation.
Evil afflicted so much,
Treated harshly in bondage;
You had cried out for His touch,
As they try to discourage.
Cry to God of your father,
For the Lord will hear your voice;
Seeing what has gone further,
His rescue makes you rejoice.
The Lord God has brought you here,
With His mighty outstretched arm;
From the deeds that had brought fear,
With the wonders of His charm.
He had brought us to this place.
Flowing with milk and honey;
Gave us this land with His grace,
For living in harmony.
Bring the first fruit of the ground,
Which was given by the Lord;
Praise Him with a joyous sound,
For He is loved and adored.
