 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove
Who has believed what they have heard,
To whom has the arm of the Lord;
That has been revealed in the Word,
And has not let it be ignored.

For He grew up like a young plant,
And like a root out of dry ground;
Did anyone praise with a chant,
In making such a joyous sound.

He had no form or majesty,
That we should look with desire;
Just average with no beauty,
Enticing to light your fire.

He was despised and rejected,
Man of sorrow knowing of grief;
As One from whom we neglected,
We esteemed not with a belief.

Surely, He has borne our griefs,
As He carried our sorrows;
Stricken and afflicted beliefs,
That has taken straight and narrows.

He was pierced for our sinning,
Crushed for our iniquities;
For people since the beginning,
From sacred disabilities.

For all of us have been like sheep,
And we have gone our own way;
As the servant has gone asleep,
Because of having gone astray.
