In Disguise

Time passed mends most
Helping gather a clear reality
The dreams are just a ghost
Always haunting and never free

Captive with a yesterday
Which seems to always betray
No surprise was taken
When the truth was reawaken

Surrounded with cognition
Watching karma take its query
Witnessing the true definition
While everything else turns blurry

Was it worth the pain?
With a heart left in strain
Filled in only sorrow
But maybe it will change tomorrow

Deep in the depths of hell
That’s where my heart lies
A sense of mortal fail
With pain left in disguise
