Today, if you hear His voice,
Try not to harden your heart;
Do not rebel but rejoice,
Listen and learn to impart.
For on the day of testing,
Going through the wilderness;
There is no time for resting,
Expecting the Lord to bless.
You have put Him to the test,
Saw His works for forty years;
But you never did your best,
And the Lord had caused you fears.
He was provoked with your mood,
Because of going astray;
You have a poor attitude,
By not knowing of His way.
For He is angered with wrath,
You shall not enter His rest;
Not walking His narrow path,
Onto the promise land quest.
Lest there be evil in you,
With an unbelieving heart;
Misleading what you construe,
From the living God depart.
But exhort one another,
While it is called today;
No deceit to your brother,
Stop sinning that makes you stray.
For we came to share in Christ,
Indeed we hold confidence;
On the One who sacrificed,
Giving us the evidence.
