Poetic Verses
Yes Old
At times this can bring on a shudder
When one is present to observe the behaviour
Of those who one thought has reached the age of maturity
Which was believed brought on some stability
It was thought that many years of existence
Would have brought on some form of temperance
That no matter the type of situation
There would be force into a confrontation
But it is a great joy to see people in that golden age
Whom one sees as veterans on life's great stage
Can be so lost in when required at times
To formulate a plan in those minds
It does not mean that because one is senescing
That life's problems shall bypass them
And those challenges like the cost of living
Will as always on their lifestyle be impacting
There places that have many of their politicians
Who have reached that age of being septuagenarians
Who would over time saw lots of people suffering
But that position of power is too overwhelming
It would have thought that over those many years
They would have see their constituents fears and tears
But it seems that it was more that accumulation
Of assets took priority of any type of representation
So in that great need fuel by greed
Would not hesitate to willingly accede
To the needs and requests of those big corporations
Whilst those they represented have to suffer neglection
Is it that there is that plan to leave a legacy
That the constant avoidance may raise a query
Because it is quite clear that their children and grandchildren
Are now grown up and in cases successful men and women
