Poetic Verses
Oh,. Energy
In the tropics we are so very fortunate
Yes some of us seem not to appreciate
That we are having most of the year lots of sun
Not like others places having to deal with changing season
In the process there is around so readily
Such an abundance of wasted radiant energy
Yet in amid all this we are reluctant however
To embark on that journey to solar power
A few years ago on one of my travels
I observed many field containing solar panels
But what was a surprise, as I kept thinking deeply
This is a country that have a season so wintry
Then too I look out and had to stand still
As I observed too lots of wind mills
All so vertical as they rotated out in the sea
This place has stated that quest for alternative energy
There is no doubt that we are held to ransom
But those countries that produce oil for exportation
Shall we let our dependency of their products our lives control
Or are we going to take some steps that are bold
It is a pity that this may involve a politician
But history shows that with them they have an association
Because they heavily contributed to their campaigns
Thus ensuring that the status quo remains
How many of us dream of driving that solar powered car
Going so quickly exceeding that limit by far
And under the hood there is that storage
Thus dispensing energy after a measured mileage
So that drive to alternative energy is a must
That deviation from Fossil fuel must gain impetus
This should let those oil tycoons see the power of change
As that monopoly has reached it range
Yes some of us seem not to appreciate
That we are having most of the year lots of sun
