I would have you to know,
The Gospel that was preached;
Not after man to show,
Rather from God outreached.
I received not from man,
Neither was I taught it;
Rather part of a plan,
Through the Holy Spirit.
For the revelation,
Coming from Jesus Christ;
Of my conversation,
Why He was sacrificed.
You heard my former life,
I persecuted the church;
Violently caused strife,
Defeated by a lurch.
I profited from Jews,
Many of my own age;
Passionately I choose,
That got me to this stage.
When He set me apart,
He called me by His grace;
It made change in my heart,
When I felt His embrace.
He revealed Christ to me,
In order I might preach;
Opened my eyes to see,
To others I could teach.
But I did not consult,
Anyone right away;
It might be difficult,
In learning how to pray.
Nor consider to go,
Not until I did learn;
The indications show,
That Jesus would return.
