My faerie well

I found a faerie well today,

A goblin led my step,

I looked into the water,

Where I did not see myself,

Instead I saw a vision,

Too lovely to describe,

I turned around and there you were,

Sitting by my side.

At first afraid to touch you,

At first afraid to blink,

So delicate your tender skin,

So delicate your wings,

The goblin led me to one side,

'Pray please do not delay,'

'Your tarrying will break the spell,'

'Your kiss is what she craves.'

A faerie kiss, a pretty wish,

A flutter-wing embrace,

A hover-rise of sheer delight,

Don’t go, I pray you’ll stay,’

The goblin led me to the well,

To a vision dressed in white,

You kissed a faerie on the lips,’

Now pray, please kiss your bride.’
