Village Child

How many can boast an era, in which they had that previlidge
Of being alive and was considered a child of the village
What a wonderful, happy and unforgettable experience
That to many of our lives made such a difference

Imagine that love and imparted by those mother's
Being bestowed on you from all the quarters
And even too there was those village me
Who sometimes add that different to the blend

Those moments when confronted with a problem
And there is nothing you did could solve them
They seem somehow to see you troubled state
And quite lovingly stepped up to the plate

Let say a situation and mother was away from home
You were not left alone the streets to roam
Someone will become that temporary guardian
Until she come and take over the position

How I can remember those grand, old, and kind old ladies
Filing the air with aroma of food using those unique recipes
Amid the rising smoke coming from the fire place
In my little mind it seems to add something to the taste

When out or at school you to display no bad behaviour
Because you know doing otherwise what is the answer
And you can get punishment by anyone, no questions
Without getting your parents permission

But this too was something that also
That parental overnight extended to the village next door
Yes indeed there were also lots of relative there
So you know there was guidance everywhere

Now as an adult and went to other countries
When talking of such there were similarities in the stories
Maybe in that era it standard or universal
Because what ever we said was very comparable
