I will extol You, O Lord,
Because You have drawn me up;
While my foes are ignored,
Drinking poison from their cup.
I cried to You for Your aid,
O Lord my God, You healed me;
I am no longer afraid,
Opening my eyes to see.
You have raised my soul from hell,
Restoring life from the grave;
Pathway to Heaven to dwell,
Given salvation to save.
I sing praise to You, O Lord,
Saints thanks for Your holy name;
As they are loved and adored,
And continue to proclaim.
Your anger for a moment,
Your favor is a lifetime;
Comforting through the torment,
When confessing of a crime.
Weeping tarries for the night,
But joy comes with the morning;
Through the dawning of the light,
As a new bond is forming.
Because of prosperity,
I shall never be displaced;
Knowing Your sincerity,
Assured I am not disgraced.
You look at me with favor,
Making my mountain stand strong;
Because You are my Savior,
Knowing with You I belong.
