Now no condemnation,
For those who are in Christ;
As a new creation,
Why He was sacrificed.
The Law of the Spirit,
Of life has set you free;
For what you inherit,
That has made your sin flee.
For God did what the Law,
What the flesh could not do;
As death caused by a flaw,
Condemned that you pursue.
Righteousness of the Law,
Might be fulfilled in us;
As not to trip and fall,
While walking as thus.
Since flesh does mind the things,
For that causes your death;
Into what pleasure brings,
To inhale your last breath.
Death comes from carnal minds,
But the Spirit brings life;
Minds of peace of all kinds,
To overcome the strife.
Flesh is hostile to God,
Not subject to His Law;
That you avoid to laud,
Blocking if He would call.
The flesh cannot please God,
Only through His Spirit;
The Father will applaud,
And showing good merit.
But if Christ is in you,
Although body is dead;
His Spirit will renew,
When righteousness is fed.
The Spirit raised up Christ,
Gives immortality;
No longer be enticed,
For spirituality.
