My Daily Prayer

May each action I take, each word I say,
Bring honor to thee each and every day.
May my hands never falter, my steps never stray
From doing your work in every way.

If others stumble due to words I have spoken,
May I accept rebuke with manner humble and broken.
When others question, and after righteousness seek,
May I never hesitate, but with boldness speak.

If I injure my brother in pursuit of some goal,
May my misdeeds scorch me like burning coal.
May I do YOUR will, NOT my own in life,
May I bring honor to she who is my wife.

Lead me and guide me, dear Lord I pray,
That I do YOUR will, each and every day.
