You walked up to me
and said
I'm your future
If you're my future.,
I don't want to go., Joe.
Does  anyone want to know their future?
It could be kind
it could be scary.
It could be a bloody suicide.
I don't think you're my future
Bro.
If you're my future,
I say, one big emphatic no.
Don't confuse your muddy past
with this Golden  Boy's future.
If I were to become you in 2032
My eyes would be crossed
my mind would be blown
my words
wouldn't come out
and my face would turn blue....
Still I wonder what convinced you
you were my future
Do you believe a myth is true.
Step into my world
work the magic that I do.
and your feet would light on fire,
trying to dance in my'
shoes.
